Refreshed Broadcasts, Bulletins and Polls, and team jersey orders

Web, iPhone and Android

Improvements

  • When your team's timezone makes games from your calendar look shifted, Calendar Sync says so and offers to switch your team to the calendar's timezone. Changes that are only the timezone start unselected, with a note.
  • PRO teams can turn off Show Jerseys on Games under Jerseys in Team Settings to hide jerseys from game cards, game details and Edit Event.
  • Username has its own section in Team Details, which shows your team's web address as a link to your team site.
  • League managers can move spares and spectators between teams in Move Players, not just roster players. Players are grouped under Roster, Spares and Spectators, and anyone already on the chosen team is greyed out and skipped.
  • Regular Jersey Builder orders now need the same minimum number of jerseys as a team order.

Fixes

  • Opening an invite link or entering a code for a team you're already on takes you straight to that team's Home.
  • Long event notes scroll, so the Message button stays in view.

Web

Teammates can now order jerseys from a team template together, and the manager places one team order once enough are in. Broadcasts, Bulletins and Polls have cleaner lists and recipient screens, and Quick Score and Scorekeeper now sit with a game's other actions.

Team Jersey Orders

When a manager creates team templates, they first open ordering: how long teammates have to order and where the team order ships. The templates are then posted to Chatter as before. Team Jerseys has a Team Order section with Edit Ordering and Cancel Ordering, plus Place Team Order Now once enough jerseys are ordered. Cancelling means nobody is charged, and teammates who ordered are told.

Teammates open a template and choose Order and Save Card. Their card is saved now and only charged when the team order is placed. Template cards show Ordered with your size, and a line underneath counts the jerseys ordered toward the team order and says when ordering closes. A template you've ordered shows Your Order, with Cancel My Order while ordering is still open.

Refreshed Broadcasts, Bulletins and Polls

Each list now shows its items in a grouped card, with an unread dot, the title, the date, a short preview, the author and photos of who read or voted. League Broadcasts and Bulletins use the same look.

Recipients on a broadcast lists each player once under Roster, with their photo, email or phone and position. Read by on a bulletin is split into Read, newest first with the time they read it, and Not read yet. For managers, Archive is now a red button at the bottom of a broadcast, bulletin or poll.

Quick Score in a Game's Actions

Managers and scorekeepers get quick score and scorekeeper tiles next to lines, broadcast, spares and duties. Quick score shows from an hour before the game starts. In a narrow window, a single score tile opens a menu with both.

The large buttons inside the score card are gone. Managers and scorekeepers can click the score itself to open Quick Score. The top of the score card shows the current period, Final or Not started, and games in progress show a red LIVE badge. Players see the same score and status, with nothing to click.

Improvements

  • Calendar Sync shows which timezone its times are in.
  • AI assistants connected to BenchApp can see when players were last notified about an event, and send reminders to players who haven't responded, if you allow it.

Fixes

  • New Poll, New Bulletin, Import Opponents, Quick Score, event notes and the GIF picker open as centred windows that fit any screen size.
  • Bulletins and Polls in Team Communications open in their own window.

App update: Android, iPhone coming soon

Quick Score in a Game's Actions

On phones, managers and scorekeepers get a score tile next to lines, broadcast, spares and duties from an hour before the game starts. It opens a menu with Quick Score and Scorekeeper, and a one-time tip points it out. On tablets, quick score and scorekeeper each have their own tile.

The large buttons inside the score card are gone. Managers and scorekeepers can tap the score itself to open Quick Score. The top of the score card shows the current period, Final or Not started, and games in progress show a red LIVE badge. Players see the same score and status, with nothing to tap.

Improvements

  • Live scores and upcoming events are easier to read on Apple Watch, with the score, period and in and out counts laid out to fit.
  • In the Dynamic Island, a live score shows both team logos beside the score, and your upcoming event shows how many players are in and out next to your team's logo.
  • When another app shares the Dynamic Island, BenchApp shows how many players are in instead of just its logo.
  • Show Within under Preferences in Account is now set in hours, so your upcoming events show on the Lock Screen on game day and stay until the event starts.
  • Upcoming events on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island use larger, easier-to-read text for the time, location and RSVP counts.
  • AI assistants connected to BenchApp can see when players were last notified about an event and send reminders to players who haven't responded, if you allow it.

Fixes

  • Bulletins and Polls in Team Communications open in their own sheet.
  • The back button on Bulletins and Polls opened from Team Settings no longer shows a stray label.
  • The Poll screen no longer slides under the top bar.
  • Team Details matches the look of the other Team Settings screens.
